AS 9100 or AS 9110 Understand and Install Training is a one-day private class for the Project Manager who will be responsible for implementing an AS 9100 or AS 9110 quality management system in their organization.This course focuses on the AS 9100 or AS 9110 requirements for documentation and records and the strategy for implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
This private course is often selected when 1 or 2 people will do most of the work to set up the AS9100 or AS9110 quality management system.
AS 9100
AS9100 includes the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard plus additional requirements to address civil / military aviation and space needs.
AS 9110
The AS9110 standard applies to aerospace overhaul and repair facilities. This standard includes all requirements in the ISO 9001:2000 standard plus requirements for facilities that perform aerospace overhaul and repair.Why companies become certified
Most aerospace companies require that their suppliers become certified to the AS 9100 or AS 9110 standard. Thus, a certified company can gain a competitive advantage and also benefit through the enhanced processes and continuous improvement that is the basis of an ISO 9001 quality system.
