Quality Resource Center provides consultants, consulting, training, auditing, implementation assistance, and services to organizations seeking ISO 22000 Food Safety Certification, SQF 1000 Food Safety, SQF 2000 Food Safety, and FSSC Food Safety System Certification.

We Provide Project Management Services

Implementation Projects are jointly managed by a Coordinator from your company and your QRC Project Manager. Your Coordinator schedules the activities and access to personnel that are needed for the activities shown on the timeline. QRC does most of the work for you and ensures that your personnel know how to operate and maintain the ISO quality system.

You Save, Time, Money and Staff Resources

Your personnel provide input and approval of documentation that is prepared by QRC. The amount of time required for these activities is minimal compared to allocating release time for key personnel (and replacing those people) while they work on documentation.

We Provide Multiple Paths to FSSC 22000 Certification

Companies who are already have ISO 22000 Food Safety Certification will only need an additional analysis against the applicable PRP program (ISO/TS 22002-1 or PAS 223) to enable certification to the FSSC 22000 standard.

For companies not certified to ISO 22000, a gap analysis will help determine your most practical route to FSSC 22000 certification.

About ISO 22000 Food Safety Certification, SQF 1000 Food Safety, SQF 2000 Food Safety, and FSSC Food Safety System Certification

The consequences of unsafe food can be very serious. ISO 22000 based food safety management standards help organizations identify and control food safety hazards. As many of today’s food products repeatedly cross national boundaries, International Standards are needed to ensure the safety of the global food supply chain.

The ISO 22000 family contains a number of standards focusing on a variety of different aspects of food safety management:

  • ISO 22000:2005 – overall guidelines for food safety management.
  • ISO/TS 22004:2005 – guidelines for applying ISO 22000
  • ISO 22005:2007 – focuses on traceability in the feed and food chain
  • ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 – specific prerequisites for food manufacturing
  • ISO/TS 22002-3:2011 – specific prerequisites for farming
  • ISO/TS 22003:2007 – guidelines for audit and certification bodies

SQF 1000 & SQF 2000

The SQF Program (Safe Quality Food) is one of the world’s leading food safety and quality management systems, designed to meet the needs of retailers and suppliers worldwide. The Program provides independent certification that a supplier’s food safety and quality management system complies with international and domestic food safety regulations. This enables suppliers to assure their customers that food has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain.

SQF certification is supported and in many cases mandated by an increasing number of international retailers and foodservice providers, and the SQF Program is part of a landmark agreement among seven global retailers on mutual acceptance of global food safety systems.

Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)

FSSC 22000 is a complete certification scheme for food safety management systems. It was initially based on ISO 22000, the global food safety management system standard, ISO 22003 and ISO/TS 220021 (formerly PAS 220), a standard developed to address prerequisite program requirements for food product and ingredient manufacturers. The scope of FSSC has now been extended to include prerequisite program requirements for food safety in packaging through PAS 223.

FSSC 22000 is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) (for more information on GFSI), and is supported by the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the European Union (CIAA).
